Our Community's Language of Love

If you haven't heard of it before, The Five Love Languages are a theory that we all tend to show and want to receive love in one or two of a handful of ways which include words of affirmation, quality time, receiving gifts, acts of service and physical touch.

Over the course of this year, we've been surveying our community with all types of personality quizzes to see what traits photographers share as a community. It's been fascinating to learn that an overwhelming majority of us are the year of the dog in the Chinese Zodiac, we're Dreamers, we're Virgos, and the majority of us are an INFJ Meyers-Briggs type.

Out of everyone who participated, we chose one person to win Palette Gear's Expert Kit. Congrats Jayné Waidelich, it's fitting your top love language was Receiving Gifts.

At our Monday morning meeting, we discussed the results and after some thought, it wasn't actually that much of a surprise that quality time was overwhelmingly the most common love language.

We see how much time every member of our community gives in our Mastin Labs - Community Facebook Group, how you organize in-person meetups and take the time to get to know the Mastin Labs team out at conferences and events.

The second most common was words of affirmation, again not a huge surprise. Just look at how wonderful you are to each other.
