What makes Mastin Labs presets different from filters?
Filters apply a uniform color overlay. Mastin Labs presets are built from scans of real film rolls run through a Fuji Frontier scanner, so the color response shifts the way it would on actual film — across skin tones, highlights, and shadows.
What's the difference between the PLUS and MUTED looks?
Both start from the same film scans. PLUS is the punchier take with richer color and micro-contrast tuned for skin tones and modern digital files. MUTED is the softer, more elegant take with smoother color and a lighter, light-and-airy feel. Same film, two moods.
